Suns give good effort, don't have enough in the end

The Phoenix Suns were without starters Steve Nash (flu symptoms) and Shaquille O’Neal (rest) when they faced the New Orleans Hornets on Wednesday night.  And after the first quarter, it appeared Phoenix would go quietly and accept a loss without comment or fight.

However, something happened in the second quarter and the players started showing more intensity and fight – on both offense and defense.  It brought the team to within one at halftime.  Unfortunately, the third quarter did the team in and they didn’t have enough energy while being short-handed to pull out a win. Tisdale Rebounds From Cancer

Known for his ability to rebound on the court, Wayman Tisdale is now applying that ability to his life off of the court. The former Sun, known for his soft touch, infectious smile and musical talent, was diagnosed with cancer after falling down the stairs of his L.A. home and shattering his right leg in February 2007. Rodney Rogers Suffers Severe Injuries in Accident

This past weekend, former Suns forward Rodney Rogers was involved in an all-terrain vehicle accident and according to several media reports is believed to have suffered a broken neck and possible paralysis. The incident took place in Raleigh, North Carolina where a patrol spokesman said Rogers was taken by helicopter to Duke University Hospital in Durham. [Read more...]
