Not much to be said about this one. Not much good anyway.

It wasn’t so much the final score, although goodness knows a wire-to-wire 122-111 loss at home to a team struggling to get within hailing distance of .500 is sufficiently embarrassing unto itself.

But what was even more deplorable was the way the Suns played. Take their defense. Please!  There were times when they were not only standing around, which is also sufficiently embarrassing unto itself, but seemed to have their hands in their pockets and their minds elsewhere. You’ve got to hand it to the Spurs. Heck, you might as well, because they’re going to take it anyway.

I know it’s almost as politically incorrect to say anything nice about the Spurs in these parts as it is to defend David Stern (I said ALMOST), but instead of repeating the mantra that the Suns always find ways to keep losing these games it’s time to focus on how the Spurs always seem to find ways to keep winning them. Hey what’s happening good people? Glad to see the responses from you guys. I’m just getting off a tiring road trip. We went 3-3. We should’ve won all of those games, but the chemistry just wasn’t flowing. We made plenty of mistakes, but we’re learning each other better. So don’t give up on us. Remember who we are, Phoenix. We always rise from the ashes. Teams go through tough times, but the darkest hour is just before dawn. We’ll bounce back to the team you love to watch. Look out for us in these next few games. I’m just happy to get a good night’s rest right now. Being on the road for nearly two weeks takes a toll on you. But I can’t wait to face off with the Warriors. That breeze you felt if you were outside in the Phoenix area at about 6:45 pm on Sunday evening was the collective sigh of relief from the citizens of Planet Orange.  After losing three games in a row and five out of their past six games, the Phoenix Suns were finally able to remember how to play together and how to get the defensive stops they needed to pull out their second win on the longest road trip the team will have this season.

In my experience, most basketball players are creatures of habit. We like things to be the same, that way they are predictable and things become easier. Think about it, we spend hours in the gym performing the same motion over and over again until it becomes a reflex.
