For a guy used to headlining sold-out NBA arenas and playing with ice water in his veins in front of national TV audiences, it’s almost comforting to know, yes, even Steve Nash gets nervous.
Of course, that nervousness may have something to do with the two-time NBA MVP’s lack of TV acting experience, which after this Sunday night, will no longer be the case thanks to a guest stint on the HBO series, “Entourage.”
In addition to possibly mixing it up with the likes of Ari, Turtle, Eric and Johnny Drama (even though the specifics of Nash’s role are still tightly under wraps), fans can head to Stevenash.org and make an online donation of $100 or more to the Steve Nash Foundation to be entered to win an original “Entourage” poster signed by the members of the cast.
After the episode airs, fans can also e-mail a review of Nash’s performance to Foundation@stevenash.org for a chance to win a limited-edition “We Are One Team” T-shirt designed by the Suns’ point guard. All entries must be submitted by midnight Pacific time Sunday.
“The scene was small but much more than I expected,” said Nash on his Facebook page. “I got to speak and ‘act’ with two great actors on a great show. The creator and writer, Doug Ellin, went above and beyond to make it an unforgettable experience.”
