Planet Orange is going green as part of NBA Green Week (April 2-10).

On April 1st, the Phoenix Suns will partner with APS for Planet Orange Goes Green Night. The team has committed to providing an “eco-friendly” match-up against Houston, plus many more environmentally-themed activities throughout the game.

To add to the evening’s festivities, the first 15,000 fans in attendance will receive a re-usable Planet Orange Goes Green tote bag courtesy of Fry’s Food Stores.  Phoenix Suns players will be wearing 100% organic cotton shooting shirts featuring the official NBA Green Week logo and Waste Management is also joining the mission by providing 100% organic cotton t-shirts for the in-game t-shirt toss.

When fans use public transportation to get to the game on April 1st, it could earn them autographed Suns merchandise. Fans who present their bus or light rail receipt at one of the tables on the US Airways Center Plaza or Bud Light Paseo by tip-off will be entered into a drawing for a team autographed basketball made from 40% recycled rubber or an autographed Steve Nash Trash Talk basketball shoe!  (Remember that US Airways does not have the ability to check bags at the door.  Please plan accordingly.)
